Giving to Canfield UMC

Intentional giving is an active part of expressing our Christian faith.  At Canfield UMC  we regularly share the important ways that the ministries of this church are impacting lives of the people in our congregation, community and world. Each individual, couple, and family in our congregation, are invited to partner in the ministries of the church through regular, intentional giving.

Consider these suggestions as you prepare for making a 2015 giving commitment:

  • Review your giving to the church so far this year. If you are an identified donor, you will receive a giving statement that will help you with this.
  • Review your household budget including income and expenses to consider what can be your
    general giving goal for 2015.
  • Become familiar with the ministries of the church. Stop by our Pre-School. Visit our children’s choir rehearsal. Join a mini-mission. Sit in on a Bible study. If you are only in the church on Sunday morning, you don’t see a large part of our ministries in action.
  • Review the financial information that is presented during worship and through the mail. This will help you understand how your giving is used to spread the love of Jesus Christ and strengthen disciples for the work of God.
  • Pray over this decision. Ask God to guide your family in supporting the ministries of the Canfield UMC.

If you made a pledge for 2014, please consider bringing it up to date if your total is a bit behind. If you have been (or will be) out of town (or away from worship) for an extended amount of time you can make your offering donations through the mail or online.

We are blessed to have a church that offers ministries to its members and the community every day of the week throughout the year. Our work on behalf of God never stops. We thank you for your gracious and generous support.
